Question 3: How and when are the winners notified? And how do I get the results?

The winners of each Mater Chicks in Pink lottery receive a phone call as soon as the draw is completed, followed by a letter sent to them via registered post 2-3 days after the draw date. The results will be displayed on this website as soon as the draw is completed and also published in the public notices of The Australian (date of publication is displayed in each lottery brochure).

Question 4: How is the draw conducted?

A ticket range is entered into the Multi-function Random Number Generator from which the winning ticket number is generated. The draw takes place in the presence of a scrutineer as per licencing requirements. The scrutineer is an external auditor and internal checks are put in place to ensure that the ticket is valid and has not been cancelled, or is unsold. Members of the public are welcome to attend all Mater Lotteries draws.

Question 5: What other lotteries does Mater offer to support the work of their research and patient care programs?

Mater offers three other lotteries:

Mater Prize Home: Held 6 times per year, this lottery raises money for seriously ill and premature babies at Mater, giving them the best possible start to life. It also provides vital funding for a number of world-class medical research projects. Tickets are only $2 each.
